Liverpool Land

An extensive range of north-south aligned peaks situated immediately to the north of Scoresbysund village and to the east of Hurry Inlet and Constable Pynt airstrip at 71 degrees N.

A wonderful late winter or spring ski touring and climbing venue. Rarely visited and therefore virtually gauranteed to have the whole of these ranges to yourself!

A small icecap to the north, combined with alpine valleys and glaciers to the south offer a wide range of ski touring and ski mountaineering objectives. Many unclimbed mountaineering routes and a significant number of remaining unclimbed peaks

  • Many fine and dramatic alpine peaks rising straight up out of the Greenland sea up to 1400m in height.
  • An excellent range of alpine climbs of all grades up to 800m vertical height gain.
  • Stunning views over the Greenland sea ice and icebergs.
  • Ideal time to visit:
    - April/May for winter skiing/mountaineering
    - July/August for summer trekking
