Icelandair and Iceland Express operate flights from the UK to Keflavik airport (Reykjavik), Iceland.
From the UK direct flights are available from Manchester, Birmingham, London Stansted, London Heathrow and London Gatwick. Direct flights no longer operate from Glasgow. Icelandair operate from Manchester and Heathrow, whilst Iceland Express operate from Birmingham, Stansted and Gatwick. Heathrow and Gatwick offer daily flights, twice daily on certain days, whilst Stansted, Manchester and Birmingham offer twice weekly flights.
Icelandair operate from the following European airports:
Belgium - Brussels; Denmark - Copenhagen; Finland - Helsinki; France - Paris; Germany - Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich; Italy - Milan; Netherlands - Amsterdam; Norway - Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger and Trondheim; Spain - Barcelona and Madrid; Sweden - Stockholm.
Iceland Express operate from the following European airports:
Denmark - Aalborg (summer), Billund (summer) and Copenhagen; France - Paris (summer); Germany - Berlin, Frankfurt Hahn (summer) and Friedrichshafen; Italy - Bologna (summer) and Milan Bergamo (summer); Netherlands - Rotterdam (summer); Norway - Oslo (summer); Poland - Krakau (summer) and Warsaw; Spain - Alicante and Barcelona (summer); Sweden - Gothenburg (summer); Switzerland - Basel (summer) and Geneva (summer);
North American Departures
Icelandair operate from the following North American airports;
Boston, Halifax, Minneapolis, New York, Orlando, Seattle and Toronto.
Iceland Express also operate from New York Newark Airport (Summer only).
All Tangent expeditions are ex.Iceland and therefore begin and end at the guesthouse/hotel in Reykjavik. Tangent can however book international flights for clients for which a Booking Fee of GBP £15 per one way flight will be applied. Airport transfer is paid locally by clients as described above.
The baggage allowance for both Icelandair and Iceland Express is 20kg from all European routes and is charged at approximately GBP £9 per kg.
Keflavik Airport, Iceland & Airport Transfer
All flights arrive in to Keflavk international airport, Iceland regardless of whether the ticket states Reykjavik as final destination. Coaches then transfer passengers from the airport for the 45 minute journey direct to Reykjavik and to their respective hotels. Tickets are purchased just before exiting the airport building, either from the manned booth or from the automatic ticket machines, which accept all major credit cards.
